Family favorite- small powdered sugar covered cookies- also go by a dozen other names- Mexican Wedding Cakes, Tea Cakes, etc. etc.
Start with a softened cup of butter. Add 2/3 cup of toasted walnuts or pecans, crushed fine. (Use a food processor if you have one) 1/4 cup of powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 cups of flour and 1/4 tsp of salt. Blend well and chill dough at least an hour. Then make into walnut size balls and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Keep any eye- they just need to be slightly browned to be done. Dust with powdered sugar and once cool roll in a bowl of powdered sugar once or twice until nice and white. Best served same day.
